Shop Amazon Now For The Best Deals On Cameras And Photography Equipment In 2022

A lot of people are always looking for the best deals on all kinds of cameras. I have found that Amazon has some of the best deals on Dslr, Mirrorless and Point & Shoot  Cameras. I always advise everyone to check out the sellers ratings and reviews on the product in question. That is what I did when I purchased my Canon EOS Rebel T6 Dslr and Canon EOS Rebel T7 Cameras. I can say without a doubt that these are some awesome beginner cameras and I have never had a problem with them.

I should note that the ezine article below is a few years old, but the idea is still relevant. I myself generally find that both Amazon and Ebay are very close in price. The big difference between the two is the selling of New and Used Cameras and Photography Equipment. So my advise is check them both out and make an educated decision.

Another type of photography that has become quite popular is the use of a Drone with a camera. Many photographers have found that they can get some awesome photographs. This would be because you now have the birds eye view. Watch my aerial drone photography footage below. There are some of my affiliate links in the write up within the video.

Digital Cameras - Which is Cheaper, eBay Or Amazon?

We have decided to carry out a simple "straw poll" and compare the prices of several models of digital camera on both eBay and Amazon. We want to make clear right from the start that this is not some sophisticated statistical method, but just a sample of the kinds of prices the average online shopper might come across, perhaps while using one of the online shopping comparison services that are out there.

We took 5 popular models of digital camera completely at random and looked for the best price we could find on both eBay and Amazon within a few minutes of browsing. We made sure the cameras on offer were comparable, i.e. were the exact same model and did not offer any bundled extras. Also, in the case of eBay, we made sure that they were brand new cameras, which usually means they are sold by professional eBay sellers, rather than individuals, and were not second-hand (that would be a different story altogether). Prices vary on eBay, so we tried to simulate the browsing that a typical customer might employ when looking for a digital camera and settling for what looked subjectively like a good deal. We also checked into the cost of shipping (though did not include tax as that would depend on the customer's location), which was mostly free to mainland US.

So here are the models of digital camera that we looked at, and the prices we found:

Canon SD1100IS 8MP Digital Camera
eBay price: $199.99 (shipping free)
Amazon price: $171.30 (shipping free)

Sony Cyber-shot DSCT300 digital camera
eBay price: $265.30 (shipping free)
Amazon price: $271.63 (shipping free)

Canon EOS 40D SLR camera
eBay price: $1149.00 (shipping free)
Amazon price: $1069.95 (shipping free)

Olympus SP-570 UZ
eBay price: $330.00 (shipping free)
Amazon price: $351.62 + $9 shipping = $360.62

Nikon Coolpix S60
eBay price: $346.00 (shipping free)
Amazon price: $295.00 (shipping free)

Remember, these prices are not supposed to be quotes of any kind - they may well be out of date by the time you read this! But that's not the point, we want to see by this rough survey which online shop is cheaper for digital cameras when taking a general average. So what have we found?

If you had bought all five of these cameras through eBay, you would have paid a total of $2,290.29.

If you had bought them from Amazon, you would have paid a total of... wait for it... $2,168.50!

So that would be a saving of $121.79 if you bought these five digital cameras through Amazon! Doesn't sound like much? Well, it's more than 5%! And equal to the price of a budget digital camera!

Maybe some would say that an extra 5% extra discount is not worth comparison shopping for, but there are plenty of us, especially in these troubled economic times, who would go that extra mile to find a 5% discount on a camera purchase.

Again, we must emphasize that this is not a mega-scientific approach, nor do we guarantee that you will find everything cheaper on Amazon than on eBay! But hopefully it will serve to dispel the common myth that "everything is cheaper on eBay" and to persuade you that while great bargains can certainly be found on eBay, Amazon is certainly not to be ignored when you are making your next digital camera purchase!

Beginner Photography Camera

What is the best beginner photography camera today ? Well there are a few things that must be considered before making a decision. The first consideration is the age of the person that is going to use the camera. The second consideration is what is the budget that you will be working with. These two things will help in determining what kind of camera will work best for the individual involved.

If it is for a young child, you would not want a camera with a very involved menu. The camera will need to be easy to use. If it is for a teenager or older person, then the camera should be a better quality and have a good menu system. I would go with a Dslr Camera. When I was a child back in the early 70s, my parents bought me a low cost camera with a rotatable flash cube. You had a film cartridge that you inserted in the camera, popped on the flash cube, moved the thumb wheel until it stopped and you snapped a picture.

In today's world of cameras, everything is digital. There are some very inexpensive cameras that young children can use. As they get older, they can advance into a better class of camera. A lot depends on what the individual can handle. Most of these cameras are in the Point And Shoot type of camera. They can be easy to use and easy to carry. The camera lens is self contained and usually telescopes out for the zoom function.

If you are a little older, such as a teenager or young adult in your 20s, I would suggest using a Digital Dslr type of camera. I will have a more advanced menu and it may have the capability of changing to various types of lenses and filters. Mirrorless Cameras usually are in a more expensive class of camera. The common brands of Dslr Cameras are the Canon, Nikon and Panasonic brands as well as Sony.

My advise is the Canon EOS Rebel T7 Dslr Camera as it is a very good beginner camera. If you are looking for deals on all kinds of cameras, be sure to visit my affiliate photography website at the following link - Please Click Here Now !

The major difference between a compact and DSLR camera is that the later comes with a removable lens. Besides, the DSLR camera has a mirror through which you can see the image you are going to shoot. In this article, we are going to talk about the strengths of a compact camera and a DSLR camera in an attempt to make it easier for you to make the right choice. Read on know the strengths to make an informed decision when buying a digital camera.

Compact Cameras Vs DSLRs: Strengths You Should Consider

DSLR Strengths

Image Quality

Since DSLRs come with larger lenses, they have larger pixel sizes. Generally, DSLRs offer a lot of ISO settings, you can enjoy faster shutter speeds and noise-free pictures. In other words, DSLRs offer better image quality.

Adaptability

As a photographer, you can enjoy a lot of benefits if you choose a DSLR instead of a compact point and shoot camera. Aside from this, these cameras have high-quality lenses with long focal lengths based on what you are photographing.

You can also attach a lot of accessories, such as filters and flashes making your camera adaptable in different conditions.

Speed

Generally, DSLRs are much faster than regular cameras as far as shuttle lags and focusing is concerned.

Large ISO Range

The ISO range is different in digital cameras. However, if you have a DSLR, you can choose from a lot of ISO settings based on the light conditions.

Manual Controls

If you like manual controls, DSLR is your best choice. For example, you can choose the manual mode if you don't like the auto mode. This will allow you to configure a lot of settings that you cannot in the auto mode.

Point-and-Shoot Digital Camera Strengths

Size and Weight

Point-and-shoot cameras are so small that you can put them in your pocket and carry them wherever you want to. This is good news if you need a small camera for parties and tours.

Quiet Operation

Unlike DSLR cameras, these cameras are much quieter. The subject won't even realize that they are being photographed.

Auto Mode

If you are just a beginner, you may not want to mess with the manual mode. For beginners, it is much better to use a point and shoot camera as it comes with the auto mode. This mode automatically selects the right settings based on light conditions and other factors. So you can just grab the camera and take as many photos as you can.

Price

Unlike DSLR, these cameras are relatively cheaper. So, if you are on a budget, this type of camera is the best choice for you.

LCD Framing

If you want to frame your shots with the camera LCD, point-and-shoots can be a great choice as all of these cameras feature LCD allowing you to see the frame you are going to capture.

In short, this was a description of both DSLR and point-and-shoot. If you are going to buy one, make sure you consider the strengths of both types to make the best choice.
